Putin Offers Investment for New Indonesia Capital
Following the visit of Indonesian President Joko Widodo to Moscow on Thursday, President Putin has offered Russian Railways investment in his counterpart’s ambitious plans to relocate his capital from Jakarta.
Widodo has reportedly also approached Abu Dhabi and Taiwanese investment group Foxconn Technology to help build the renewable energy-powered city.
Putin himself suggested Russian energy companies are looking to move into the Indonesian market, especially involving nuclear power.
