Covid-19: EU recommends fourth vaccine dose for over 60s The European Union on July 11 recommended a second booster (i.e., a fourth dose) of the Covid-19 vaccine for all people over age 60, instead of all people over age 80, in light of a major summer "wave" coming to Europe.
The recommendation also applies to all those at risk, the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) and the European Medicines Agency (EMA) said in a joint statement.
