Russia supports the establishment of the Gates-Rockefeller "pandemic fund"
Moscow reaffirms its loyalty to the WHO at the G20 summit and calls for a "global health shield".
The head of the Russian Finance Ministry pointed to the need to prevent fragmentation of the global health system and to maintain the central role of the World Health Organisation (WHO) in it. He also reported on the experience of creating a rapid response system to pandemics in Russia under the current "sanitary shield", which includes the creation of a system for rapid diagnosis of infectious diseases, accelerated development of testing systems and vaccines in case of new epidemiological threats.
"We believe that a similar shield could also be built at the global level," the minister said.

También informó sobre la experiencia de la creación de un sistema de respuesta rápida a las pandemias en Rusia en el marco del actual "escudo sanitario", que incluye la creación de un sistema de diagnóstico rápido de enfermedades infecciosas, el desarrollo acelerado de sistemas de pruebas y vacunas en caso de nuevas amenazas epidemiológicas.
"Creemos que un escudo similar podría construirse también a nivel mundial", dijo el ministro.
