El Tiempo de Adviento no sólo nos prepara para la Fiesta del Nacimiento de Nuestro Señor; sino que además nos recuerda que este mismo Jesús volverá en su gloria al Final de los Tiempos, y que debemos esperarlo vigilantes, como la Esposa al Esposo. San Pedro nos da a entender que podemos anticipar la venida del Día del Señor (2Pe 3,12), por eso clamamos: “¡Ven, Señor Jesús, Maranathá!”

The Season of Advent not only prepares us for the Feast of the Birth of Our Lord; it also reminds us that this same Jesus will return in his glory at the End of Time, and that we should await him vigilantly, as the Bride awaits the Bridegroom. St. Peter gives us to understand that we can anticipate the coming of the Day of the Lord (2Pe 3:12), so we cry out, "Come, Lord Jesus, Maranatha!"
